Symphony of Us
Ivor Novello winning composer and our own Composition teacher Daniel Fardon has composed a new theatrical symphony entitled Symphony of Us for Coventry City of Culture. The piece will be performed by the Orchestra of the Swan, conducted by Daniel, in the historic setting of Coventry Cathedral this weekend.
There will be three performances on Friday 4th and Saturday 5th February. For more information about the Symphony of Us and to purchase tickets, please click here.
On Sunday 30th January 2022, Ensemble l’éveil performed a concert of music from the 18th century on period instruments at Christ Church, Fulmodeston. Founded by alumnus, conductor and harpsichordist Jack Gonzalez-Harding together with French baroque violinist Salomé Rateau, the Ensemble l’éveil played works by Bach and Telemann to an appreciative audience. The quartet included another Purcell alumnus, flautist Daniel Swani, as well as Kate Conway on the Viola da gamba.
