Alda Dizdari

Internationally renowned violinist and Purcell instrumental teacher Alda Dizdari has received a glowing review of her recent recording Elgar Violin Concerto in The Strad magazine. Regular contributor Tim Homfray, praised Dizdari for her ‘thoughtful, tender account’ of the much beloved concerto and commented that she is ‘sensitive, exploratory, and through all the technical flair there is a feeling of intimacy’. He goes on to explain that her playing ‘can be thrilling and dynamic, but this is a performance attuned to poetry as much as theatre’.

In addition to the recording, there is there is also an audio book entitled Kiss Me Again: A Memoir of Elgar in Unusual Places, written and read by Dizdari. Both are available to purchase here.
