The School is preparing thoroughly to ensure a full and safe return in September. Further details of how we plan to manage our operations will published soon. Families of international students are advised to arrange any required quarantine in advance of the first day of term. Please be aware that the status of those countries currently exempt from quarantine may change without notice. Families are advised to consult the UK Government advice on this matter.

In light of recent Government announcements concerning the phased reopening of schools, the School has risk assessed the various scenarios available to it. Following detailed assessment and consideration of all possible options, it has concluded that it will remain working remotely for the remainder of this academic year. The school site will therefore remain closed to all students and staff (except residents).
Teachers will continue to support students remotely and all queries should be directed via email or Google Classroom to an individual or to schooloffice@purcell-school.org or to info@purcell-school.org
Arrangements will be made for boarders to recover any belongings they may have left in their rooms. These will communicated directly with families over the next few days.
The School will continue to audition virtually (online) and therefore welcomes and encourages applications for September 2020 admissions.
Full details on the school’s response to the reopening of schools has been communicated to parents via SchoolPost.
A reminder to Parents and Guardians that further information will be sent via SchoolPost.

The Purcell School is open and operating normally at present. The School, however, will not host visitors for the remaining two weeks of term. Staff will be in touch with those people for whom visits had been previously arranged.
Some concerts held in School will continue but will be open to the School community (staff and students) only. Unfortunately, parents, family members and the general public will not be admitted.
We will ensure the School calendar is kept updated.
Please check our website for up-to-date information before travelling to any external School events.
