Wigmore Hall

On Monday Purcell students took to the stage of London’s iconic Wigmore Hall to perform a programme of works by Andres, Chausson, Ravel, Mozart and Liszt. It was a wonderful evening of extraordinary talent, and we would like to congratulate all of the featured soloists who took part – Milda Daunoraite, Yumeka Nakagawa, Bethany Caswell, Sofiia Matviienko, Olwen Miles, Emily Henderson, Lina Jukneviciute and Bradley Ng.

He has also won First Prize in the International Music Competition ‘Brussels’ Grand Prize Virtuoso 2019 and has been given the opportunity to perform a piano solo at the prize winners’ concert at The Centre for Fine Arts, Brussels on Saturday, 21st December.

Festive Art

The Art Club were feeling festive this week and have created some fabulous 3D paper Christmas trees.

The Great Graham House Bake Off

Last week, house parents Mrs Branch and Mrs Emelianova held a baking session in Graham House. Great fun was had and by all accounts the cakes were completely extraordinary – in how delicious they were and how quickly they disappeared! The Graham House Bake Off follows a pampering party that took place the week before.

Boarders’ Christmas Dinner

This was the week of many Christmas dinners, with each Purcell House gathered in the dining hall to celebrate the end of a busy term. Our thanks to all of the house parents who did so much to make these meals magical, and to the Holroyd Howe team who went above and beyond to deliver a festive feast!
