In Year 11, 82% of the cohort were awarded grades A*-A in Literature (English) with 50% at A*. 75% of those sitting First Language English achieved an impressive A*-A, with 42% at A*.
As a school for young musicians, entry to the Purcell School is by audition only and is not academically selective.
Principal-Designate, Paul Bambrough commented: “I am delighted to see Purcell students achieving such excellent results in English and Music. It is a testament both to their hard work and to the advice and guidance of their teachers. The Purcell School is committed to supporting student achievement across the whole curriculum and these results are a good example of what our young musicians can achieve here. I hope that they are feeling suitably proud of themselves today.”
