Pupils at the school were delighted this morning to receive notification of their A Level results. Although there has been, across the country, some trepidation about the new-style A Levels, they appear to have served pupils at The Purcell School well. The results obtained have ensured that thirty four pupils have secured places at a music college, with over 59% winning a scholarship to attend. In addition, two pupils have secured places to study at leading universities (Durham and King’s London).

Headmaster Stephen Yeo said that “he was incredibly proud of the achievements of pupils at the school who have to work at their academic studies alongside a rigorous programme of practice and performance on their chosen instrument or voice”.
