Alumna, Lucie Treacher has been selected to be one of the 2014 UK Junior Chamber International Ten Outstanding Young People (JCI TOYP).  She was recognised as an outstanding singer/songwriter who has travelled the world for inspiration and to mentor others through outreach projects.

Lucie won the Cultural Achievement Award, which was judged by Elizabeth Walmsley, Director at Praesta Partners LLP and Chairman of JCI British Senate 2013.  

Candidates for this special award can be anyone aged between 18 and 40.

JCI TOYP globally serves to formally recognize young people who excel in their chosen fields and create positive change.

Lucie was at The Purcell School from 2009-2013, where she studied composition with Haris Kittos, piano with Clare Sutherland and voice with Tom Marandola.  Lucie was Head Girl and was part of the School’s Impulse Outreach Training Project.  She held a scholarship funded by the Government’s Music and Dance Scheme.
