The Purcell School’s Chamber Academy was launched on Saturday 8th November.  Six student string quartets, comprising young players from The Purcell School and other local schools, were coached by members of the Chilingirian, Sacconi and Jubilee Quartets.

Led by Charles Sewart, Head of Strings at Purcell, this exciting new Course gives talented young string players the opportunity to explore great masterpieces of the chamber music repertoire and to work and play alongside eminent professional musicians.  There are eight more workshops throughout the academic year and an end of year concert (details available soon).

This series of workshops is generously supported by the Albert and Eugenie Frost Music Trust.
