Our Sinfonia Orchestra gave a fantastic concert last night to a packed hall. Under the baton of Edward Longstaff, they played Prokofiev Piano Concerto No. 1 with pianist Alim Beisembayev (who stepped in at the last minute due to illness), Rosauro Marimba Concerto with Patriks Skabardis, Rimsky-Korsakov arr. Zimbalist The Golden Cockerel Fantasy with Polina Makhina and Wagner’s Siegfried Idyll.
The Sinfonia will be doing a repeat performance of Wagner’s Siegfried Idyll at Conway Hall on 15th June. Tickets available from concerts@purcell-school.org / 01923 331109.
