My first day back today, and a late tea gave me the opportunity to gate-crash a rehearsal of the Sixth Form Vocal Group, expertly directed by Glen Dempsey, in the salubrious surroundings of the dining hall. We sang Farrant’s ‘Lord, for thy tender mercy’s sake’ very beautifully – a very pleasant way to start the term.
