Year Six pianist Magdalene Ho has been awarded the ABRSM Silver Medal and Sheila Mossman Prize following her distinction in the ABRSM Grade 8 examination this year.   

The Sheila Mossman Memorial Prize is awarded to ABRSM candidates who achieve the highest marks in practical exams at grades 6, 7 and 8.  The award is endowed by the friends and former pupils of Miss Sheila Mossman, who died in 1971, having committed her life to music and was an ABRSM examiner for five years.  

Magdalene was born in California in 2003.  She has been playing the piano since she was four years old and the violin since she was five.  She joined The Purcell School in 2013, where she studies the piano with Patsy Toh and violin with Sada Rashidova
