The School Day

For our boarders, the rhythm of the School day begins with the early morning practice, followed by a hearty breakfast at 8.20am – ready to start the day – and our day students arrive each morning at 8.00am.

The departure times of day students vary by year group to ensure that they are able to maximise their daily experience. Years 7-8 leave at 4.00pm, Year 9 at 5.00pm and Years 10-13 at 6.00pm (unless they are participating in a supervised school activity).

In special cases, and with advance permission from the Houseparent, day students may stay later to fully benefit from the opportunities available at Purcell. It is essential for day students to sign in with their Houseparent upon arrival and sign out before leaving in the afternoon, ensuring everyone’s safety and well-being.
