Dr Daniel Fardon is a British composer, educator, and arts leader based in London. His music has been recognised with an Ivor Novello Award and the Royal Philharmonic Society Composition Prize, featured on BBC Radio 3, and commissioned by internationally acclaimed ensembles including the Carducci Quartet, the Birmingham Contemporary Music Group, and the London Symphony Orchestra — who released his orchestral work Flux in 2025. Daniel’s work has been performed at world-class venues such as Wigmore Hall and leading festivals such as Cheltenham.

Alongside his career in composition, Daniel is deeply committed to education, having lectured in composition at the University of Birmingham prior to joining The Purcell School. He is Artistic Director of Hackney Music Live, a charity dedicated to programming world-class musicians in East London. Daniel also works as a mentor, adjudicator, and creative lead on national projects including Young Sounds UK, and holds a PhD in Composition.
