Leeds International Concert Series

The Purcell School Symphonic Wind Orchestra performs at a lunchtime concert as part of the Leeds International Concert Series.
Purcell Symphonic Wind Orchestra comprises about 30 young musicians from the school’s Woodwind, Brass and Percussion Department, and is led by Mike Cavanagh. The department is supported by specialist tutors who are themselves distinguished performing artists.
Programme to include:
Felix Mendelssohn Overture in C Major for Winds, Op. 24
Morten Lauridsen trans. H. Robert Reynolds O Magnum Mysterium
Malcolm Arnold Prelude, Siciliano and Rondo
