At The Purcell School, we prioritise the health and wellbeing of our students, ensuring they receive comprehensive care and support during their time with us.
Health Centre
The School’s Health Centre, managed by our dedicated School Nurses, Mrs Austin and Ms Morgan, provides a confidential and supportive environment for all students. Medical information is kept private and is only shared with student consent. We encourage open communication and students can contact their parents or guardians from the Health Centre if needed. New students’ parents are required to complete a medical questionnaire to help us understand and cater to their needs better.
Health Centre Open Hours
Our Health Care team is available to assist all students from 8.30am to 4.30pm, Monday to Friday. For emergencies or urgent health concerns outside of these hours, specifically for our boarders, Nurse Morgan is on hand to provide the necessary support.
Physiotherapy
We are pleased to offer physiotherapy services to our students every Wednesday, provided by our visiting physiotherapist, Dr Upjohn. Students can schedule an appointment through the School Nurse. Dr Upjohn specialises in musculoskeletal health, offering valuable advice and support to help musicians prevent and manage playing-related injuries.
Counselling
Emotional well-being is as important as physical health. Our counsellor, Ms Morris, is available four days a week to provide confidential counselling services. Students can arrange an appointment through the Health Centre or contact Ms Morris directly. She is at Purcell to offer support and guidance, ensuring students have a safe space to discuss any concerns they may have.
At The Purcell School, we are committed to fostering a nurturing environment where every student can thrive both physically and mentally.
