Performance Opportunities

Performance is a cornerstone of the music programme at The Purcell School, and in an average year our students will take part in over 200 concerts. We offer a wealth of performance opportunities from regular concerts, recitals and masterclasses to competitions and festivals.

One of the life-changing experiences of attending The Purcell School is our proximity to London and the opportunity to make music with other similarly talented young musicians on world-renowned stages. We hold over 200 concerts annually, from full-size Symphony Orchestras to trios and solo lunchtime concerts. Performances are held on some of the country’s most prestigious concert platforms, including Queen Elizabeth Hall, Cadogan Hall, Wigmore Hall and Milton Court, as well as prominent stages which reflect the reality and diversity of life in the music profession, such as Pizza Express Jazz Club, St John’s Smith Square and St James’s Piccadilly.

Purcell Giving Day

11–12 December 2025, 10am – 10am

The final note has sounded, and our first Giving Day has officially come to a close.

We are thrilled to share that together we have raised £40,435 for the Bursary Fund.

To everyone who tuned in, donated, encouraged our performers or helped spread the word — thank you. You have made a genuine difference to the lives of young musicians.

If you would still like to contribute, the Giving Day site remains open here.
