Support Us

Now, more than ever, we need to support the futures of our young musicians. Here are a number of ways you can help current and future students of The Purcell School.

Make a Donation

To make a donation, simply click here and select how you would like your gift to be used.

If you would like to discuss a transformational gift or naming opportunities within our capital projects, please contact Chris Harbour, Head of Development and Philanthropy, via the details below.

Regular Gifts

By establishing a regular income, we can create a sustainable fund allowing us to proactively develop the School, from facility refurbishments to an increase in bursary fund support for families who cannot afford the fees. For instructions on how to set up your Direct Debit, please click here.

Leave a Legacy

Leaving a gift in your will can be an easy and effective way of making a significant contribution to the students at Purcell. As a registered charity, your gift would also be exempt from inheritance tax, making your donation go even further. Click here for more information.

However you chose to make your bequest, whether it be cash, property or assets, it is important to take legal advice.

Supporting a Scholar

A handful of our students receive significant financial support from donors which provides them with a prestigious title. In return, the donor has a scholar named after their support and receives regular updates on their progress. To discuss supporting a scholar, please contact Chris Harbour, Head of Development and Philanthropy via the details below.

Corporate Support

We have a number of opportunities for organisations to sponsor various aspects within the school calendar, including our showcase concerts and masterclasses throughout the year. Organisations or groups also have the opportunity to select The Purcell School as their preferred or nominated charity.

For any questions about supporting our remarkable students, please contact the Development Team on development@purcell-school.org or 01923 331131.

Giving Day: 11-12 December 2025

We are thrilled to share that our inaugural Giving Day (held on 11-12 December 2025) raised £41,320 for the Bursary Fund.

To everyone who tuned in, donated, encouraged our performers or helped spread the word — thank you. You have made a genuine difference to the lives of young musicians.

A recording of the live stream is available here and, if you would still like to contribute, the Giving Day site remains open here.

We remain deeply honoured that His Majesty King Charles III, Royal Patron of The Purcell School, warmly acknowledged our 24-hour Giving Day concert and the dedication of our performers in a letter on the day of the event.

“Please convey my warmest thanks to the Students, Staff and Guests of The Purcell School for their kind message, sent on the occasion of their twenty-four-hour concert which is being held today.

As your Patron, I was truly touched to be reminded of the dedicated work that you do to celebrate and encourage the musical abilities of young people. In return, I send my warmest good wishes to all those who are present for a most memorable event.”

We were incredibly grateful for His Majesty’s support and encouragement.
