Lunchtime Concerts

Lunchtime concerts take place every week from Monday to Thursday, 1:10–1:40pm. They offer an intimate platform for our students to perform their repertoire — whether to try out before an audition or major concert, present a new composition or simply share their music, either as soloists or in groups.

These concerts are midday jewels in our school life, offering staff, students and visitors the chance to enjoy a diverse range of music in a welcoming atmosphere.

Visitors are warmly invited. Please arrive at the school reception by 1:00pm, where a member of staff will escort you to the concert venue. There is no entry fee, though kind donations to The Purcell School are gratefully received.

Masterclasses

An integral part of our students’ educational experience is the opportunity to work with distinguished visiting musicians and pedagogues. At The Purcell School, we are privileged to welcome eminent artists and masters in their respective fields, made possible through the extensive professional networks of our teaching staff.

These masterclasses provide an intimate and inspiring environment in which students receive expert guidance on a wide range of topics — from instrument-specific techniques and detailed musical analysis to the artistry and discipline required of a professional musician.

Visitors are most welcome. Please email concerts@purcell-school.org to reserve your place prior to attending. There is no entry fee, but donations to The Purcell School are gratefully received at the end of the masterclass.
