The Purcell School Chamber Soloists:
A History of The Purcell School Composition Department

The Purcell School Chamber Soloists celebrate the extraordinary legacy of The Purcell School’s Composition Department in an engaging programme of short works spanning multiple generations of composers associated with the school.

This special concert brings together music by some of the department’s most distinguished alumni and affiliated composers, including Oliver Knussen, Joseph Phibbs, Lucie Treacher, Gareth Moorcraft, Kristina Arakelyan, Yiruma, Edward Longstaff and Alison Cox. Alongside these works will be a new composition by a current Purcell School student, selected through a competitive process adjudicated by Judith Weir DBE.

The concert is free to attend but donations are kindly received. No booking required.
