Festival Success for Juliana

In May, sixth form harpist, Juliana Myslov was awarded Overall Winner & Young Harpist of the Year at the Gregynog Young Musician 2014.  The winning prize was £3,000 and the Peter Garbett-Edwards trophy as well as two engagements; an invitation to play a recital at the Tenby Arts Festival in September 2014 and a concert opportunity at the Machynlleth Tabernacle – home of the Machynlleth Music Festival.

Juliana also won the Presidents Prize in the 2014 North London Festival.

Earlier in the year, she won First Prize at the prestigious Dutch Harp Festival in Utrecht. 

Juliana has been a pupil at The Purcell School since 2005 and receives a Scholarship from the Government’s Music and Dance Scheme.  Juliana studies harp with Daphne Boden and piano with Deborah Shah.
