Opera Debut for Lucy Treacher

Picture

A short opera written by ex-Purcellian Lucy Treacher, will be performed as part of the Tete a Tete Opera Festival on Thursday 24 July & Friday 25 July at Central Saint Martins Platform Theatre.

The Fisherman’s Brides  explores the eccentric, weather-beaten characters of a Highland fishing community and one woman’s ultimate sacrifice. A dark yet humorous production, with songs composed from tide tables and sounds from the shore; it will transport you from an old woman’s dusty heart to the bottom of the ocean.  For more information and tickets: http://ow.ly/xaZkr
