Outreach
The Purcell School’s community outreach programmes have been developed by staff, pupils and alumni for over 15 years, and are now considered to be amongst the most advanced and successful leadership training schemes for school-age pupils in the UK. They are available to all pupils from year 11 upwards, and occasionally to younger pupils, too.

IMPULSE
IMPULSE Outreach Training is a unique, pupil-led programme available to sixth form students in Year 12 and 13. Pupils are encouraged to create and form their own projects in small groups, coming together in larger ensembles for school visits and national/international touring programmes. They also organise community concerts, and musical presentations for school assemblies. More>>
Hertfordshire's Five Gold Rings
This county-wide musical celebration was sponsored by five Housing Associations in Hertfordshire, with a view to creating sustainable musical partnerships and projects for their residents to hear and take part in. More>>
The Commonwealth Resounds!
More than three thousand
musicians throughout the Commonwealth have taken part in ‘The Commonwealth
Resounds!' since it was first created in 2005. Exciting international projects have been
run on shoestring budgets in Malta, Gozo, Uganda, Trinidad, Tobago, and Perth. A
brand-new project is being prepared for Sri Lanka in 2013. More>>
