On Sunday afternoon the annual football match between Purcell and the Yehudi Menuhin School took place.
Here is a match report from James Awofisan, our Resident Sports Assistant:

It was a wet and slippery Sunday afternoon.  The match kicked off at 13:00 and Yehudi Menuhin got off to a bright start really putting pressure on our team.  We had a lot of defending to do in the first 10-15 minutes of the game.  However, after the team nerves settled down, we started to pass the ball well, get a handle on the game and dominate possession.  Overall it was a tight, electrifying and intense game in which the Purcell team were strong and persevered to come out with a 5-2 win.  With terrific support led by Sixth Former Liya Li spurring on the team, we retained the Purcell School v Yehudi Menuhin School trophy.  The team was led by Captain Kai Kim and the goal scorers were: Ned moss x3, Pablo Cascallana x1 (Pen) and Kenny Fu x1.  Finally a record was set by Solomon Grimshaw who is Purcell Schools youngest player to participate in competitive football he played exceptionally well for such as young lad and is one to watch out for the future.  The man of the was Ned Moss who scored a hat-trick.
