After the class, Robert gave a performance of the first two Bach Suites to an enthralled audience. We are delighted that he will be back in the spring! Dates and information can be found on the poster below.
Robert Cohen is a Fellow of The Purcell School, and was a pupil from 1969-1974, studying cello with William Pleeth. Cohen made his concerto debut at the Royal Festival Hall at the age of 12 and his recording debut at 19 (Elgar Cello Concerto with London Philharmonic). During the subsequent thirty-eight years of his distinguished international career, Cohen has been hailed as one of the foremost cellists of our time. “It is easy to hear what the fuss is about, he plays like a God” (New York Stereo Review).
