Remembering The Purcell School in your Will
The people and causes you remember in your will are a positive recognition of all that is important to you. If you are inspired by music making, Purcell School and its young musicians, please do remember us when you come to making or updating your will.
We rely on the invaluable generosity of supporters to fund many activities that are integral to developing our talented students. With your help we can continue to make a real contribution towards the education of extraordinarily talented youngsters who are world class musicians of tomorrow.
There are many ways in which you can leave a legacy in your will. Legacies made for general purposes are especially valuable, as this allows us to direct your support into projects that are the most needed at that time. However, if you wish your gift to be used to fund a specific area at Purcell some ideas include:
If you have already included a gift to the School in your will or you intend to, then please do let us know. We would really like the opportunity to say thank you and to keep you up to date with news at Purcell and how your support will make a difference. Knowing that people intend to benefit us in this special way helps us to plan ahead. You can either give us a call or download and complete the legacy registration form. This form is not legally binding but it just gives us an indication of your present wishes.
As The Purcell School is a registered charity (Registration number 312855), all bequests to the school are free from inheritance tax. As this is a complex area we do, however, recommend you seek professional legal advice to support you through the process of leaving a gift in your will.
Music Materials
We are often bequeathed musical instruments and items such as recordings and sheet music from individuals who share our passion for music. Whilst we are very grateful for donations, it is often the case that we cannot accept them, due to restrictions on space and specific needs of the school at the time. If you are looking to include materials in your will to bequeath to The Purcell School, we would advise that you please contact us before writing them in so that we can discuss the best course of action with you.
