The long-awaited refurbishment of the ground floor corridor in the main school building started last week. Workmen have already stripped out the false ceiling, radiators, lights, boxes and anything else they could find, preparatory to a complete redecoration with new lighting, ceiling and flooring. We will be living on a building site for the next few weeks, but it will be worth it to have a smart shiny new corridor when summer arrives.
Chamber Choir's first concert of the year took place at St Mary's, Watford yesterday. A varied programme of Allegri, Villette and Brahms allowed to choir to demonstrate some very different colours and moods, and Emily's top Cs thrilled the large audience. Here we are rehearsing before the concert. (Photo: Jane Hunt)
Despite the rain, we enjoyed another very successful Open Morning on Saturday, with more than 50 families sampling the live music, guided tours of the school, explosions in the Chemistry labs (courtesy of Mr Banks) and Chef's famous creations in the Dining Room. See the gallery below for a flavour of the day.
