All boarders eat together in the main school dining hall, and there are common rooms and small kitchens in each house. Social events are frequent, and house staff organise regular weekend activities. Boarders have access to school facilities, such as practice rooms and computers, at evenings and at weekends. There is one exeat weekend each half of term.

The latest report (November 2012) on boarding at The Purcell School by the Independent Schools Inspectorate may be found here.
