Violinist, Joo Yeon Sir will make her debut at the Royal Albert Hall on 30th October 2015 with Sir Karl Jenkins and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra in a premiere performance of Jenkins’ Lament of the Valley.

Joo Yeon recently won the Arts Club Karl Jenkins Classical Music Award, held in association with the radio station Classic FM.  As well as a cash prize of £4,000, Karl Jenkin’s composed Lament for the Valley for her.  She has now recorded this for Classic FM with her regular accompanist Irina Andrievsky, and it was broadcast for the first time this morning on Classic FM on John Suchet’s morning show.  

Joo Yeon finished her studies at Purcell in 2008, where she studied violin with Felix Andrievsky, before going on to the Royal College of Music.
